Background
Mohamed was born in Cairo in 1989 and studied engineering at the Budapest University of Technology between 2008 and 2012. He picked up Hungarian there — first from the people he shared a corridor with, later properly, out of books.
He came home to Egypt after graduating, moved to Hurghada in 2012, and started guiding in 2014. At first it was weekends only: one day to the pyramids, another out on the Red Sea.
By 2020 it was the whole job — his own vehicles, drivers he trusts, and restaurants he actually eats in himself. A small, dependable network running between Hurghada and Cairo.
Twelve years in, Mohamed is the one who takes the long Cairo days: the ones that start at four in the morning and need someone who knows which gate the queue moves through fastest. When a flight slips, he is the one who rebuilds the day in his head before anyone has noticed.
One more thing: Mohamed's favourite Hungarian dish is goulash, and he cooks it for the team at the end of every season — with Egyptian spices, which the Hungarian guests diplomatically call "almost right".
