Hurghada → Giftun Island
Two reef stops and lunch on the water
Children from €25 · Final price depends on group size and date
⏱ 6 hours · 📍 Hurghada → Giftun Island
Best for: Anyone who wants the Red Sea that appears in the photographs, without committing to a diving course.
The reefs around Giftun are the reason Hurghada exists as a resort. Visibility routinely runs past twenty metres, the coral starts a few metres from the surface, and the fish are entirely unbothered by people. We anchor at two different sites rather than parking at one all day, because the second reef is always the one people remember.

FAQ
Basic swimming, yes. Life jackets are on board and plenty of guests use them, and the crew leader stays in the water with the group — but this is open sea, not a pool, and we would rather you knew that before booking.
Not on these reefs. What lives here is reef fish, parrotfish, the occasional turtle and a great deal of coral. Sharks in the Red Sea are a deep-water and far-offshore story.
Between 21 and 23°C from December to February — swimmable for half an hour at a time, and most people are glad of a shorty wetsuit. From May to October it sits at 26–29°C and you will not want to get out.
The Giftun reefs are close in and the crossing is usually calm. If you know you are sensitive, take something an hour before pickup rather than once you are on board — the deck is open and staying outside in fresh air helps more than anything.
Please do. A mask you have already fitted to your own face beats anything from a rental box. Fins and snorkel are provided either way.
Yes, and it is one of the better family days out here. Children snorkel in life jackets with a crew member alongside, and the boat has shade for anyone who has had enough sun.
